If you decide to come to our party, we assume that you respect and comply with the rules below.
1. YOUR PHONE MUST BE OFF
Because: we find it very uncomfortable and anti-social when people are constantly calling, texting or engage in social media. The party is with each other! And if you want each other's data, you can get pen & paper at the bar and we can also explain how a pen works.
We do not allow photography inside Trut, and all phones have cameras. Further reasoning against camera's usage is found in the next point.
Your phone must be turned completely off, not in flight mode or silenced. Volunteers will ask you to do this visibly before entering.
The use of smart glasses is also prohibited!
2. ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEO
Because: We want to be a safe place for dykes, trans, fags and every person in between. No matter who you are, if you are out or not, where you come from and where you are going we ensure the Trut is a place for you.
Having a no photography policy ensures our community members that are not out or cannot be out due to safety to fully express themselves openly at our parties.
3. NO HARD DRUGS
Because: It is prohibited by law. And If hard drugs are found in Trut during a check the municipality can close us. The same can be extended to smoking inside.
Fortunately, we are allowed to sell a legalized hard drug, alcohol, if you are older than 18 years old. If any doubts about your age should arise by either yourself or a volunteer, staff may ask for your ID before serving
4. MIND OUR NEIGHBORS
Because: the Trut can only continue to exist if the neighbors are happy. So when you stand in line, throw your waste in the trash instead of on the sidewalk.
And when you leave, be mindfull of your volume and don't stand in front of the door. The neighbors (who have children) sleep on the street side and are sensitive to the noise.
So walk a little further down the street, and you can say goodbye there in depth.
5. RESPECT EACHOTHER AND THE VOLUNTEERS
If you experience an issue at the Trut, report it immediately to a volunteer and we will do something about it. And if a volunteer reminds you of the rules, respectfully follow their instruction.
In the case of non-compliance of our rules or other undesirable behavior, we will request you to leave the Trut. In addition, we can and will impose an entry ban on visitors who regularly fail to comply with the rules. Aggression and/or violence always leads to an entry ban.
SEX ON THE DANCEFLOOR!
Visitors are allowed to have sex (with consent) anywhere in Trut, except in the restrooms, simply because that would mean making the whole line of needy people wait. So don't do it, or you'll have to go home early.
Purchasing an entrance ticket you accept the rules above and our terms and conditions. The general terms and conditions can be found in De Trut, at the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce or for download here.
